All five fall sports are in action this week of September 7-13, which includes a busy seven-event day on Saturday.

Alverno College student-athletes stood out in the classroom as 33 Inferno were named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Scholar-Athletes for the 2014-15 academic year.

As voted on by Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference head coaches and approved by the Directors of Athletics Standing Committee, Alverno College was honored with the Women's Sportsmanship Award for the 2014-15 academic year.

The Alverno College Athletics Department honored its teams and student-athletes from this last academic year during the annual Alverno College Inferno Athletics Banquet in the La Verna Commons Saturday.

Alverno College Director of Athletics Brad Duckworth has announced the promotion of Megan Krueger to head coach of the cross country program. Krueger served as assistant coach of the Inferno the past two seasons.
